During Fargo Superintendent Rick Buresh's two-and-a-half-year tenure in the district, he's received overall positive marks from the School Board.
That was reaffirmed Tuesday.
"I'm amazed at all the schools he visits on a weekly basis," said board President Dan Fremling. "We're in really good shape."
Districts are required by state law to evaluate superintendents by March 15.
On Tuesday, the board unanimously rated Buresh's overall performance as "satisfactory," mainly giving recommendations to challenge staff and assert himself as the top leader.

"Dr. Buresh has stepped forward a bit more often this year as the face of the school district," board member Laura Carley wrote in the evaluation. "Again, that having been said, because of his calm manner it is difficult for outsiders to see any push towards improving student achievement, specific school issues, and other concerns."
Board member John Strand reiterated that, encouraging Buresh to "take a more aggressive 'lead the team' approach to directing Fargo Public Schools into the early years of the 21st Century."
Buresh told the board Tuesday he'll continue to work on those areas.
"I do appreciate the confidence you've placed in me," he said. "This is just a good organization. I intend to stay here for quite some time."
