Fargo taxi driver says she was robbed, threatened with knife

FARGO - A Fargo taxi driver was allegedly threatened with a knife Saturday and an assailant demanded money, according to Fargo Police. The robbery happened at about 3:25 p.m. in the 900 block of 43rd street in south Fargo.

FARGO – A Fargo taxi driver was allegedly threatened with a knife Saturday and an assailant demanded money, according to Fargo Police.

The robbery happened at about 3:25 p.m. in the 900 block of 43rd street in south Fargo.

According to police, the driver was parked while doing paperwork when a man approached her vehicle and knocked on her window. The driver rolled down her window and the suspect placed the knife to her throat and demanded money. After giving the man money, he ran away, heading northeast, police said.

The victim described the suspect as a 5-foot-7-inch-tall white man in his 20s with a thin build, blondish-reddish hair, a goatee and a thin face that came down to a point. She also said that he had a deep voice. He was wearing a camo hunting jacket, blue jeans and boots. She also described his gloves as blue on black with red trim along the fingers and black on the palm side.

The victim was not injured.

Fargo Police Lt. Joel Vettel said there were no new updates on the investigation as of 4 p.m.
