Fargo Theatre to host silent movie event

The annual Silent Movie Night at the Fargo Theatre, 314 Broadway, will be at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and again at 2 p.m. Oct.

The annual Silent Movie Night at the Fargo Theatre, 314 Broadway, will be at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and again at 2 p.m. Oct. 26.

Sponsored by the American Theatre Organ Society Red River Chapter, the movie "Steamboat Bill Jr.," starring Buster Keaton, will be shown, and Lance Johnson will play a live and original score on the Mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ.

The newly reorganized Fargo Theatre Big Band All-Stars, along with the Fargo Theatre Singers, will present a program of 1940s big-band favorites, and antique and classic cars will be on display in front of the theater.
