Fargoan pleads guilty in apartment burglary

A 21-year-old Fargo man pleaded guilty Wednesday in Cass County District Court to burglary last fall for breaking into a woman's apartment and punching holes in the walls.

A 21-year-old Fargo man pleaded guilty Wednesday in Cass County District Court to burglary last fall for breaking into a woman's apartment and punching holes in the walls.

Cody Dean Ambuehl, 1608 4th Ave. S., also entered guilty pleas to criminal mischief and fleeing a police officer.

East Central District Judge John Irby sentenced Ambuehl to three years in prison, first serving one year and two years on probation. The judge gave Ambuehl credit for 16 days in custody.

A woman told police that a man broke into her south Fargo duplex Oct. 29, punched holes in the walls and left.

Police found a man matching the suspect's description in the 3000 block of 23rd Street South. After a brief foot pursuit, the man gave up and was arrested.
