FERGUS FALLS, Minn. - The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Department released details Tuesday about a fatal train-truck crash Friday near Perham.
John Fosse, 74, Henning, died at the scene about 1:17 p.m.
Fosse was driving a dump truck on a field road near County Road 80 just west of County Road 34 when he stopped for an eastbound train, Lt. Mike Boen said.
After the train passed, Fosse proceeded across the tracks and was struck by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train traveling west on another set of tracks, Boen said.
The train was moving at 60 mph and sounding its whistle, said Boen, who added there are no controls at the intersection.

The crash remains under investigation, he said.
