FERGUS FALLS, Minn. - Two people face manslaughter charges after a woman here died of a drug overdose.
Melissa Qualley, 31, and Travis Simon, 33, were charged Monday in Otter Tail County District Court with second-degree manslaughter, burglary, theft and interfering with a body to conceal evidence.
Police say they were doing drugs when Marsha Schloesser had a medical emergency.
Qualley and Simon failed to give her aid and later returned to burglarize her apartment and stage the discovery of her body.
Qualley told authorities that they wanted to wait until they weren't so high.
