PHOENIX - A father and son from Fergus Falls, Minn., who are in jail in Arizona on charges they murdered their relative over a drug debt, are fighting extradition back to Otter Tail County, Minn., WDAY-TV reported.

Sixty-four-year-old Michael Alan Burris and 23-year-old Michael Kyle Burris have each been charged with one felony count of second-degree murder in the death of Scott Burris.

Scott Burris is Michael Alan's nephew and Michael Kyle's cousin.

Scott Burris disappeared from Elizabeth, Minn., in May 2012. His body was found in the Otter Tail River about a month later with a single gunshot wound last year.

Since the men are fighting extradition, the governor's offices in both states need to get involved to issue a warrant to bring the men back to Minnesota to face charges.
