FARGO - No one was hurt in an early morning fire that consumed a garage in north Fargo on Sunday.

Just before 5 a.m., Fargo firefighters responded to reports of a fire in a three-car detached garage at 1138 27th St. N. The garage was engulfed in flames by the time they arrived, and had also extended to the attic of the home adjacent to the garage.

Firefighters extinguished both blazes. The homeowner and his dog escaped unharmed. No one was injured.

A total of 15 Fargo fire personnel were on the scene in four engines and two other vehicles, along with a Moorhead Fire Department engine. The cause of the fire has not been determined, and Fargo Fire Department Capt.Dane Carley said the damage was extensive enough that he doesn't know if a cause will be determined.
