THOMPSON, N.D. - A 78-year-old Thompson man is dead following a fire overnight in Thompson.
Thompson Police Chief Dale Johnson said the man's identification is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
Johnson said the fire crews from Thompson, Reynolds and Manvel responded to the call at about 12:15 a.m. at 405 Broadway. Johnson said the garage was gutted and the breezeway had a lot of smoke damage. Johnson said no other property was damaged.
The blaze is being investigated by the Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department.
