An apartment fire in Wahpeton, N.D., Saturday morning caused damage and displaced one family, but did not cause any serious injuries.
The fire, at a three story, 12 unit building at 1210 12th St. N., was reported at 8:04 a.m. Saturday with the Wahpeton police and fire departments responding to the scene. It began in one apartment unit that was damaged by fire and smoke. The rest of the building's damage was due to smoke.
Matt Anderson, of the Wahpeton Police Department, said everybody was able to get out of the building safely. The apartment complex is located across the street from Wahpeton Middle School.
