GRAND FORKS - Five juveniles were taken to Altru Hospital with undisclosed injuries Tuesday evening after the car they were in crashed into a shelterbelt along state Highway 18 near Larimore.
According to David Stromberg, a deputy for the Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department, the accident occurred about 7 p.m. when the white four-door sedan crossed Highway 18 from a gravel driveway to a potato processing plant located just south of U.S. Highway 2.
According to Stromberg, the vehicle crossed the road and went into the ditch before hitting a tree in a shelterbelt. Speed was a factor.
Conditions of the injured were not available as of press time.
