March 25 - We were in "uncharted territory," Fargo's mayor declared as he opened the morning flood meeting that by now had become part of the daily routine.

In Cass County communities like Oxbow, Abercrombie and Hickson, a handful of residents began evacuating their homes, forcing boat rescues of at least 20 people.
In Clay County's Oakport Township and Georgetown, Minn., officials urged those with young and vulnerable individuals to move to safe havens.
And move they did. One by one, boat by boat.
