FARGO - Red River flooding has again forced the Fargo Park District to close the pedestrian foot bridges at Lindenwood and Oak Grove parks.

The bridges were closed today and will be available for use again when the river recedes, the district said in a news release.

The river level in Fargo-Moorhead stood at 18.56 feet at 1 p.m. today and is projected to crest at 19.5 feet Saturday or Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Flood stage is 18 feet.

The river is projected to drop below flood stage on Monday.
