DEVILS LAKE, N.D. -- A former municipal court clerk here has been charged in a missing money case.
Voni Lange, 34, of Devils Lake, is accused of stealing money paid for fines and bonds from the municipal court between August 1999 and May of this year.
Lange is charged with misapplication of entrusted property, a Class B felony. She faces up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
Ramsey County State's Attorney Lonnie Olson said the charge follows a lengthy investigation.
Lange's first court appearance is set for Monday.
