A man who ran away from Moorhead police 12 years ago will not spend any more days in jail for the incident.
Pablo Gonzalez Figueroa, 42, Texas, pleaded guilty in Clay County District Court to misdemeanor hit and run Wednesday as part of a plea agreement.
Charges of fleeing a peace officer, receiving stolen property and obstructing the legal process or arrest were in turn dropped by the prosecution.
"One of the reasons is it's so old," said Clay County Assistant Attorney Gregg Jensen. "He's been in custody for some of this time."
Jensen said some of the police officers no longer work in Moorhead.

Figueroa was sentenced to spend 90 days in jail by Judge Kathleen Weir. However, with credit for time served in Moorhead and elsewhere, he won't spend any additional time in jail.
Court documents say:
Police attempted to stop Figueroa in 1991 because the Plymouth he was driving matched a car used in two burglaries.
After a short chase, Figueroa jumped from the car and ran away.
He wasn't seen again by local authorities until he was arrested in August.
