FARGO - A Moorhead attorney and longtime president of the Moorhead Public Service Commission is recovering from a car crash late last month in which he struck a Moorhead utility pole.
Kenneth Norman, 68, has been hospitalized at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo since March 30, when the vehicle he was driving on a slick, snow-covered 11th Street North in Moorhead left the road and hit the utility pole.
Officers at the scene said Norman was unresponsive and appeared to have some sort of medical condition.
Norman's son, Kyle Norman, confirmed with The Forum on Friday, April 13, that his father is still recovering but would not provide further details on his father's condition. He said the family is asking for privacy at this time.
The early morning crash caused a power outage in the neighborhood.

Norman retired last fall after serving 30 years on the MPS commission.
MPS General Manager Bill Schwandt wrote of Norman at his retirement that he "is known, and will be remembered, for his strong commitment to MPS' employees, serving many years on various committees to provide competitive compensation and benefits to attract and retain MPS' most valuable resources - its employees."
Norman is also an attorney with Miller Norman & Associates in Moorhead.
