The Forum took top honors for investigative reporting, photography, headline writing and First Amendment efforts in the 2005 Minnesota Associated Press news competition.
The news "Sweepstakes" award went to Forum reporter Patrick Springer for his reporting on North Dakota's workers' compensation.
The newspaper received the Freedom of Information award for its efforts to preserve First Amendment freedoms and attempts to keep government open to the public.
The Forum competed in contest categories with the Star Tribune of Minneapolis and the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
News awards were received Friday night in St. Paul.
