Four arrested after gun incident, chase in Moorhead

MOORHEAD - Four men were arrested early today after police responded to a call regarding a disturbance involving a firearm at a south Moorhead residence.

MOORHEAD - Four men were arrested early today after police responded to a call regarding a disturbance involving a firearm at a south Moorhead residence.

According to written information released by Moorhead police:

Officers from the Moorhead Police Department, the Clay County Sheriff's Office and the Dilworth Police Department responded to a call about 2:08 a.m. this morning to 1321 14th St. S., in Moorhead regarding a disturbance involving a gun.

A vehicle was seen leaving the area and a pursuit ensued when officers tried to stop it.

After a chase that lasted about 15 city blocks, the pursued vehicle left the road and became disabled.

Police allege four men arrested a short time later ran from the vehicle. Police identified the four as: Emmanual X. Kennedy, 22; Curtis M. Nichols, 21; Ermin Adzemovic, 19; and Trei Hobert Patrick Johnson, 20.

The men were being held in the Clay County Jail pending formal charges from the ongoing investigation, police said.

According to information provided by Lt. Brad Penas, a gun was fired toward one of the occupants of the residence and a firearm has been recovered.

One person was struck with the stock of the firearm and received a contusion to the head, Penas said.

He said the victim was treated at the scene, adding it's believed at least one of the men arrested was known to the victim.

Penas said police will be requesting charges of first-degree burglary; second-degree assault; attempted murder; and fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.
