A man convicted of drug racketeering and four other drug charges will serve 13 years in prison.

Charles Edward Fraction, 31, was sentenced Monday in Clay County District Court for his involvement in a crack cocaine distribution ring.

A St. Cloud, Minn., jury found Fraction guilty in March. A judge moved the trial out of Moorhead because of extensive media coverage.

Fraction's cousin, Gregory Fraction, 30, is serving 171/2 years for similar convictions.

Prosecutors asked Judge Michael Kirk to give Charles Fraction the same sentence, but Kirk said 13 years was more appropriate considering his criminal history and level of involvement.

Last week Marvin Fraction, 21, another cousin of Charles Fraction who testified against his family members, was sentenced and released from jail for racketeering.
