MINNEAPOLIS -- Al Franken's new show on the liberal Air America radio network will be broadcast on Minneapolis' WMNN-AM 1330, the station said Tuesday, "The O'Franken Factor," will air from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today "if we can pull things together from a technological standpoint," station manager Scott Murray said.

The new liberal talk show, which also is making its national debut today, will feature the St. Louis Park native and former Minnesota Public Radio "Midmorning" show host Katherine Lanpher. None of Air America's other programs will be carried by WMNN.

Murray said the arrangement would be temporary. Minnesota Public Radio sold the AM station to Starboard Communications, a Catholic broadcaster, last month and plans are to have it on the air by late May or early June.
