Almost everyone has watched "Friends" at one point or another. And, of course, there are some that have become hard-core addicts to this comedy that airs on NBC on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Yes, some really do have the complete Season One videos, which is four tapes that cost $10 each. Season Two is out now, too. Will they really do all nine (plus) seasons?

Even a "Friends" trivia board game has been made. It is actually pretty hard. Once card challenges you to name the actor who played Monica's boss in the first restaurant she worked at. Some other ones are much easier, for example, what was Joey's childhood imaginary friend's name and profession? Of course we all know his name was Maurice and he was a space cowboy.

There is a neat Web site, too, about "Friends." The site www.nbc.com/friends has biographies on the actors, "Phoebe's Scrapbook," a place you can buy "Friends" merchandise and a whole bunch of fun facts about the show.

Isn't it amazing how six character's lives can make such an impact on the normal everyday person? The quick wits of the sixsome is laugh-out-loud funny. People really do talk about the episodes on Fridays. The day of the season premier, everyone was talking about it and reminding each other to watch.

"Friends" is not just a pointless comedic soap opera. It has won numerous awards as a show, and individual actors have also earned accolades. Lisa Kudrow ("Phoebe") has won an Emmy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award and an American Comedy award for her role as a quirky message therapist. Jennifer Aniston ("Rachel") has really racked them up, too. She won the People's Choice Award for Favorite Female Television Performer in 2001 and 2002 and is a Golden Globe winner. Plus, numerous other nominations have been given to the show's other performers. The scene in which Rachel gave birth to Emma was voted the "Best TV Moment of 2002" by MTV.

In case you have been living under a rock, here's an update. Ross is not married yet again (keep your fingers crossed that he and Rachel will hook up), Ross and Rachel's baby, Emma, is adorable and giggles only when Sir Mix a Lot is sung to her. Chandler and Monica are still happily married, even though Chandler was transferred to Tulsa for his job, and Joey and Phoebe are still, well, Joey and Phoebe.

NBC's slogan of "Must See TV" for Thursday nights says it all. It's clear America is hooked on "Friends."
