A sex offender wanted on charges in Springfield, Mass., was arrested by U.S. Marshals Monday night in Fargo.
Michael Wright, 39, was arrested on charges of failing to register as a sex offender and felony indecent assault and battery, according to a U.S. Marshals statement.
U.S. Marshals learned Wright was in the Fargo area Monday afternoon. Deputies located him at about 11:40 p.m. at Fargo's AmTrak station, where Wright was waiting to board a train to leave the area.
Wright was taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Cass County Jail pending further investigation to determine if he is in violation of the Adam Walsh Child Protection Act, the federal law requiring certain sex offenders to register with law enforcement, the statement said.
