GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Postmaster Gary Lemieux is retiring, after more than 33 years here with the U.S. Postal Service.
Lemieux started work as a part-time letter carrier in September 1973. He has been postmaster since 1998.
Lemieux turned 60 on Monday. His retirement is effective Wednesday. Stephen Brothers, postmaster in Watertown, S.D., will fill the post until a permanent successor is found.
