Gary and Jodi Duncan of West Fargo had been looking for a franchise for a few years when they found out about PremierGarage, a company that provides products to help people turn their garages into more of a living space.

"Our biggest question was is Fargo-Moorhead ready for this and right away we said yes," said Gary Duncan, managing partner in the company."There's a lot of growth and we said the time is right."

PremierGarage opened in West Fargo in June of 2006 and business has been going strong since, Gary Duncan said.

That's part of a trend that has been growing in popularity over the last few years, said Daryl Braham, president of the Fargo-Moorhead Area Association of Realtors.

Within the last three to five years more people have been turning their garages into additional useable space, he said.
