Gate City donates funds to area groups

Gate City Bank, Fargo, has donated $142,500 to statewide organizations as part of its commitment to support communities and causes.

Gate City Bank, Fargo, has donated $142,500 to statewide organizations as part of its commitment to support communities and causes.

Donations to purchase food for Thanksgiving meals for those in need were made to Zonta International, the Dorothy Day House and the Emergency Food Pantry.

Contributions were made to All Nations Food Pantry, the Gladys Ray Center and REACH to purchase food and equipment.

Donations were also made to the Forum Communications Foundation's Newspapers in Education, the Impact Foundation's Fill the Dome Fund, Fargo Moorhead Sertoma's Holiday Lights, Daily Bread Chef's Gala, Homeless and Hungry, and the Omar Family Relief Fund.

Contributions to support programs were made to Trollwood Performing Arts School, Handi-Wheels Transportation, Haiti Medical Mission, Fargo Raiders Hockey Club, Healthcare Equipment Recycling Organization, Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band, Retired Seniors Volunteer Program, the United Way of Cass Clay, the Plains Art Museum Foundation, Red River Youth for Christ, the Salvation Army, the Lost and Found Ministry, Tri-College University, Churches United for the Homeless, the YWCA, Soroptimist International of Fargo and Moorhead, Celebration of Women and Their Music, Disabled and Senior Citizen Awareness and Recovery, the Fargo Moorhead Opera, the Christmas Gift and Riding on Angels Wings.

Additional donations were made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Caring for Children, North Dakota Veterans Cemetery Foundation, and the American Bankers Association Housing Partners for a Habitat for Humanity build.
