North Dakota social studies teachers are eligible for a free trip to Germany.
The North Dakota School Boards Association and the state Department of Public Instruction are cooperating with the Berlin-based Atlantik-Brucke to sponsor a study tour of Germany next summer.
The purpose of the trip is to deepen high school social studies teachers' knowledge of German-American relations, post-World War II Germany and the Holocaust.
Twelve educators will be chosen by a competitive process for the all-expense-paid study tour, set for June 4-16. Travel itinerary includes visits to Hildesheim, Berlin, Dresden and Frankfurt.
