GLYNDON, Minn. – Firefighters battled a fire at a mobile home here Tuesday afternoon.

Smoke billowed from the door and side of the home at Prairieview Estates near Pleasant View Avenue as about a dozen firefighters doused and stripped part of the home.

At least one woman was displaced by the fire, said Maj. Byron Medlock of the Salvation Army in Fargo.

The woman was sheltered in a large Salvation Army van parked nearby as she waited for the Red Cross to arrive, Medlock said.

Medlock said he arrived at the scene at about 3 p.m., fifteen minutes after he was notified about the fire.
