The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has released an additional $1.7 million in Low Income Home Energy Assistance funds to North Dakota.
The grant program helps eligible families pay the costs of heating their homes in winter and cooling them in summer.
About 4.6 million low-income households in the United States receive assistance each year.
