Grand Forks firefighters to raise money for muscular dystrophy this week

GRAND FORKS — Firefighters in Grand Forks will be around the city on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday hoping you'll help them fill their boots.

They're volunteering their time asking the community to stop and donate a couple of bucks to help people with muscular dystrophy. Rain or shine, they'll be accepting donations at four-way stops around town from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

Grand Forks Fire Fighters Local 242 Union President Joe Dewey said firefighters raised over $10,000 dollars for people with the disorder. This year they hope to hit $12,000.
