Tonight through Aug. 1
Thirty-six years after the rollicking musical hit Broadway, "Grease" is still the word. Sure, the social issues the stage production-turned-blockbuster touches upon - teen pregnancy, gangs, teenage rebellion, peer pressure - are still relevant. But really, it's those lyrics you know by heart. For 10 summer nights, the Minnesota State University Moorhead Straw Hat Players are bringing the Rydell High Class of '59 to life at Hansen Theatre on the MSUM campus. The production kicked off Wednesday. It's a sure crowd pleaser for all those born to hand jive. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. nightly. There are worse things you could do. Tickets range from $12 to $17. (218) 477-2271.
