About 22 members of the Minnesota National Guard's 134th Signal Battalion, recently returned from Iraq, are expected to arrive back in the Moorhead area Sunday evening.

It is anticipated the soldiers will arrive at the Moorhead armory around 9 p.m.

Law enforcement vehicles will escort the returning troops in a procession that will start on Eighth Street South at Interstate 94 and follow 11th Street North to the armory, where a short welcome home ceremony is planned.

The soldiers were activated in March of 2004 and were deployed to Iraq in October.

They left Iraq Sept. 10 and arrived in Ft. McCoy, Wis., on Wednesday. From there, the troops went to Hastings, Minn., where they will leave Sunday afternoon.
