The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the United States Fire Administration have released $150,147 in grant funds to fire departments in Gwinner and Wimbledon, N.D.
The grant breaks down to $22,950 for the Gwinner Fire Department and $127,197 to the Wimbledon Fire Protection District to be used for fire operations and firefighter safety programs in each district.
The Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program is designed as a cooperative effort between FEMA and the U.S. Congress to enhance basic fire service delivery.
