BISMARCK, N.D. - Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm is cautioning people in the Fargo area to be wary about questionable contractors.
Hamm says his office has received reports of contractors engaging in questionable business practices, after a Sept. 21 hail storm that caused an estimated $55 million in damages.
Hamm says consumers should take steps to protect themselves, including making sure a contractor is licensed with the state.
