An open house to honor Helen (Nicklay) Glawe on her 100th birthday will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 26 at Riverview Place, Fargo.
Helen taught school for 28 years in the Rothsay, Kent and Barnesville, Minn., areas.
At age 92, she was featured in the PBS documentary "Open Road: America Looks at Aging" for her contributions to others as a volunteer and teaching English to New Americans.
