UNDERWOOD, Minn. - A motorcycle driver from Henning was airlifted to a hospital with head injuries after a four-vehicle crash Monday near Underwood.
According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office:
A Dodge Caravan was facing east on County Highway 1, attempting to make a left turn onto Waterstreet Road. A Ford Contour was behind the minivan, waiting for it to turn, when a third vehicle, a Chevy Blazer, struck the Contour from behind.
The momentum carried the Contour into the Caravan and then into the westbound lane, where the Contour was hit by an oncoming Suzuki motorcycle driven by Randy Maland, 54, of Henning.
The impact threw Maland from the motorcycle into the ditch. He was taken by ambulance to Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls and later airlifted to an unspecified hospital for head injuries.
