A high-risk sex offender was arrested Wednesday in Fargo, according to a police statement.
Fargo police arrested James William Thompson Jr. on Wednesday for a parole violation.
Thompson is a level-three sex offender convicted of criminal sexual conduct in Clay County District Court in 2000. The female victim was an acquaintance under age 15.
Thompson is no longer living at his previous address, which was listed as the Grand Inn, 3402 14th Ave. S., in Fargo.
Thompson was taken to the Cass County Jail.
