BISMARCK -- Fargo Shanley defeated Belcourt in girls volleyball action Saturday, but fell to Bismarck Century and Williston on the second day of the North Dakota East-West Classic.
In Shanley's victory over Belcourt, Steph Lorz led the way with six kills and nine assists. Lorz added five kills and three aces in a three-game loss to Williston.
West Fargo won just one of three games Saturday, topping Mandan in Game 1. Emily Vetter led West Fargo with 17 digs and 16 assists in the game, while Trisha Howitz had eight kills and nine block. Kristin Hoy added eight kills and four blocks.
The Packers lost their other games to Williston and Bismarck Century. Next, the Packers will host Grand Forks Red River at 7 p.m. Thursday.
