Highway 75 near Kent closed due to flooding

KENT, Minn. - Flooding has caused state Highway 75 near here to be closed until further notice, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said Saturday.

KENT, Minn. - Flooding has caused state Highway 75 near here to be closed until further notice, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said Saturday.

Kent is about 35 miles south of Fargo-Moorhead.

Traffic is currently being detoured to Wilkin County Road 3 and Wilkin County Road 26.

When a road is closed, it is illegal to travel in that area. Motorists can be fined up to $1,000 and/or 90 days in jail. In addition, if travelers need to be rescued from a closed road, other expenses and penalties will apply.
