Starting Monday, traffic on Interstate 29 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between the Sheyenne River and Cass County 20 because crews will be reconstructing the northbound roadway.
Speeds will be reduced to 65 mph in the work zone until it's completed by late October.
This project entails a five-mile stretch of I-29 being reconstructed north of Cass County 20. Northbound lanes will be built in 2009 and southbound lanes in 2010.
Weather permitting, additional I-29 lane closures are required for crews to repair the Automatic Traffic Recorder between 12th Avenue North and 19th Avenue North.
Starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday, the two northbound left lanes of I-29 between 12th Avenue North and 19th Avenue North will be closed.
