EVELETH, Minn. -- An Illinois man has died and his wife and son were injured in a rollover in northeastern Minnesota.

The State Patrol says 60-year-old Donald Staszewski, of Burbank, Ill., was a passenger in an SUV driven by his son, 21-year-old Steven Staszewski, of Burbank.

The patrol says they were southbound on U.S. Highway 53 about seven miles south of Eveleth about 8:45 a.m. Saturday when the SUV left the road, went into the median and rolled several times.

The Duluth News Tribune reports that Donald Staszewski was not wearing a seat belt. He died at the scene. His wife, 57-year-old Susan Staszewski, 57, was wearing a seat belt. She was in satisfactory condition at a Duluth hospital. Steven Staszewski, who also was belted, was treated and released from a Virginia hospital.
