WAHPETON, N.D. - Steven Rowland, the man accused in a fatal shooting at a Wyndmere bar in March, is set to stand trial starting Jan. 24.
Rowland, 46, Wyndmere, allegedly killed a fellow bar customer, Gordon Vosberg, with a shotgun blast to the chest at closing time on St. Patrick's Day at Four Corners Motel and Lounge. He's charged in Richland County District Court with murder and attempted murder.
Any pre-trial motions in the case would have to be filed by Dec. 28, said Ron McBeth, assistant Richland County state's attorney.
The trial is set to last 1½ weeks, McBeth said.
Rowland is being held in the Richland County Jail on bail of $1.2 million cash or bond.
