Steven Rowland, the man accused in a fatal shooting at a Wyndmere, N.D., bar in March is set to stand trial starting Jan. 24.

Rowland, 46, Wyndmere, allegedly killed a fellow bar customer, Gordon Vosberg, with a shotgun blast to the chest at closing time on St. Patrick's Day at Four Corners Motel & Lounge. He's charged with murder and attempted murder in Richland County District Court.

Any pre-trial motions in the case would have to be filed by Dec. 28, said Ron McBeth, assistant Richland County state's attorney.

The trial is set to last 1½ weeks, McBeth said.

Rowland is being held in the Richland County Jail on bail of $1.2 million cash or bond.
