Janice Lamon, age 91, Ulen, MN, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, in Viking Manor Nursing Home, Ulen, MN.

Janice Lucille Spry was born July 9, 1912, in Callaway, Minnesota, the daughter of Lawrence and Emma Zurn Spry. She was raised in Fargo by John P. and Anna Koel, her aunt and uncle. Janice graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, Fargo.

She married Marvin C. Myers October 30, 1938, in Fargo, North Dakota. Marvin passed away August 30, 1956. Janice continued to live in Fargo, where she worked in various stores. She married Harold Lamon March 20, 1970, in Fargo. Harold passed away January 24, 1999.

Janice lived most of her life in Fargo, but when Harold retired they moved to Hawley where they lived until his death. Janice's hobbies were crocheting and embroidery work. Many people are enjoying her lovely gifts.

Janice is survived by one daughter, Karen (Charles) Giese, Billings, MT; two grandchildren, Jeff Giese, Jacksonville, FL, and Michele Giese, St. Augustine, FL; three great-grandsons; and one brother, Lee (Dorothy) Spry, Claypool, AZ.

Janice is also survived by four step-daughters, Harriet (William) Day, Betty (Dan) Thomson, Doris (Charles) Grani, and Mary (Ron) Olson, all of Hawley, MN; one step-son, Richard Lamon, Milwaukee, WI; and many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, and one grandson, Gregory Giese, in June 1997, two brothers, and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Detroit Lakes Boys and Girls Club, or the charity of one's choice.

The funeral mass for Janice will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Cathedral, Fargo. Visitation will be held from 4-7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, and from 2-3 p.m. Thursday in the church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo.
