Jean M. Kangas, 73, Crary, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, in Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake, N.D., from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Jean Marion Hudson was born Feb. 14, 1930, near Brocket, N.D., where she graduated from high school in 1948. She graduated from Mayville (N.D.) State Teachers College. She then taught at Egeland, N.D., and Hannah, N.D. On Oct. 28, 1955, she married Robert Kangas in Brocket. They farmed near Crary.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Marilyn Haverluck, Grand Island, Neb., Karen (Jerry) Harden, Sandra Kangas, both New Ulm, Minn.; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation: Monday from 1 to 9 in Aaker Funeral Home, Lakota, N.D., and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 in United Lutheran Church of Brocket.

Funeral: Tuesday at 10:30 in the church.

Burial: Enterprise Cemetery near Brocket.
