Rick Johnson, North Dakota State University general counsel, has received the Department of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Lifetime Achievement Award.
He was honored for his work as ombudsman for the North Dakota Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve committee.
He also received the President's Volunteer Service Award for his service with the organization.
His work included working with employers and soldiers regarding re-employment rights under state and federal law.
