A judge today set conditions of release at $100,000 bond or cash bail for a man charged with robbing a Moorhead credit union at knifepoint Monday.

David Joseph Dornbach, 45, who appeared before Clay County District Court Judge Galen Vaa, answered the judge politely when he was asked questions.

Assistant Clay County Attorney Pam Harris requested the $100,000 bail amount, stating Dornbach was a flight risk and posed a danger to public safety.

She said Dornbach, who was arrested Tuesday at a Fargo hotel, has a 1996 conviction for first-degree aggravated robbery, for which he served 72 months in prison.

Court records show it was a Hennepin County, Minn., case.
