Junior Achievement, a nonprofit organization that educates children in financial literacy, is hosting a speaker's panel titled "How to Talk to Your Kids About Money and the Economy" from 7 to 8 p.m. June 23 at Carl Ben Eielson School, 1601 13th Ave. S., Fargo.
The event is free and open to the public.
Panelists will give tips on talking with children of all ages about smart money management, budgeting, investing, saving, and the emotional stress and family difficulties during these economic times.
Panelists are Dave Sola, financial representative from Thrivent Financial; Rachel Blumhardt, a counselor at The Village Family Service Center; Amber Hanson, a teacher at Lincoln Elementary, Fargo; and Lorna Bernstrom, a teacher at Fargo North High School.
Junior Achievement teaches children entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy by connecting businesses and volunteers to the schools.
