A suicidal man wielding a large knife threatened police officers Friday morning in Fargo.

At 8:14 a.m., officers were called to 2842 15th St. S. on a complaint of a suicidal man with a knife, the Fargo Police Department said.

Officers confronted the man outside the building, where he threatened the officers with an 8-inch bladed kitchen knife.

They ordered him to drop the knife. When he did not and ran from them, they pepper sprayed him.

The man was taken into custody and then to Innovis Health for observation. He was not injured. He has not been arrested or charged at this time.
