FARGO - Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity will build two homes in Fargo this year, the group announced today.
The group also announced that Rob Rich will be its new executive director.
Rich, with Habitat since 2008 as its construction manager, has served as interim executive director since late 2011.
"I've seen firsthand the difference a home can make" for families," Rich said.
He said he will focus on growing use of and income from the ReStore in Moorhead. The store sells donated construction materials.

This year's Habitat homes are being sponsored by the Home Builders Care Foundation of Fargo Moorhead, the first time the group has been a primary sponsor of a Habitat for Humanity home.
The second home is being sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. This will be the 12th home Thrivent has built with Habitat locally.
The homes will be built at 902 27th St. N. and 1534 1st Ave. S.
Rich has overseen construction of 22 of the 45 homes Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity has built since its inception in 1991.
"Rob brings years of experience in construction and working closely with volunteerism," said Leann Wolff, president of the Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity's board of directors. "He is an asset to the organization and will lead Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity to build more homes and serve more families in our community."
