The Lake Agassiz Regional Library is offering a scary story contest in honor of Teen Read Week, which is Oct. 12-18. This year's theme is "Books with Bite."
Teens are invited to write scary stories, but submitted stories should include a "bite" theme, a news release said.
Story submissions can be e-mailed to mhreference@larl.org. Writers must include their name, e-mail address and their phone number with their submissions.
Judges will award a prize to the best-written story at the end of the week.
